Adults age 21-64 currently enrolled in the Alternatives for Adults with Physical Disabilities Medicaid Program may choose the Agency to provide Attendant Care and/or Counseling Support Services. This program helps adults with physical disabilities continue to live at home and in the community.
Agency Attendant Care provides a trained attendant to assist the individual with tasks of daily living to help the person remain as independent as possible at home and in the community.
Counseling Support Services provide a professional counselor to advise and assist the individual in achieving a higher quality of life by making the best personal choices possible.
This service is available through the local DHS county offices.
